Rotorua teenager Kevin Bang has had the ideal warm-up for the under-16 national golf champs fresh off a hole in one at Lake Taupo's Hole-in-one Challenge.
Bang, 14, won $10 thousand in achieving the feat - money that will now go on some new golf gear.
He will be among 149 young golfers competing North Island Age Group Championships at Taupo Golf Club - competing under-19 boys and girls divisions and under-16 boys and girls divisions, crowning four champions at the end of the 54-hole tournament.
