A second person has been arrested in relation to the shooting of a Wellington taxi driver on Saturday night.
The 17-year-old Lower Hutt woman appeared in Wellington District Court yesterday charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Police earlier arrested a 26-year-old man who was found at a Strathmore address. He was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The driver, Alem Tessema, was shot in the shoulder on Saturday night.
He said a man and a woman in his taxi had been acting erratically when he was driving them.
When they got out of the car the man allegedly shot him in the shoulder, Tessema said.
