The Papua New Guinea Hunters returned home as heroes after their triumph in the Intrust Super Cup grand final.
The Hunters recovered from a 10-0 half-time deficit to win 12-10 with a championship-winning try conjured up in the final seconds of the match.
The PNG Prime Minister Peter O'Neill and Governor of the National Capital District Powes Parkop were both on hand to welcome the team back to Port Moresby on Monday.

Hunters utility Rahdly Brawa said it was a huge achievement for the team and country.
"It feels really good after the game - the boys worked really hard and to come this far is really really good," he said.
"I think the boys deserve it and our management and the people behind us, our country behind us, and most of all we give it back to God because he was behind us in everything."
"It feels really good and we are blessed and humbled by it, winning this," he said.
The Hunters are only back home for a few days before flying to Sydney on Friday ahead of the NRL State Championship match against the Penrith Panthers.
