A three-year-old was one of the people injured in a fatal taxi van crash in rural south Auckland today.
Police said the 48-year-old driver died at the scene when the taxi rolled about 5.30am, injuring six passengers on Linwood Road in Karaka.
The child was seriously injured and is being treated in Middlemore.
The other passengers received moderate or minor injuries.
The town is about 30 minutes' drive from Auckland.
