League national president Prue Kapua said unlike previous years, the hui would be an open forum, so current and pressing kaupapa could be discussed.

She expected topics such as the Child Youth and Family overhaul, Chris Brown's visa application and the Ture Whenua Māori review to be put on the table.

Ms Kapua said some of the politicians attended hui when they were in opposition, and she was disappointed that they will miss this hui when they now hold the portfolios.
