Police are appealing for public help as they try and piece together the movements of a man whose body was found in the Waikato River, near Taupo yesterday.

Oscar Dennis Olsen, from Tolaga Bay, was found dead in the river near Taupo, between Huka Falls and the Aratiatia dam.
Police said Mr Olsen was on electronic bail, but his monitoring bracelet was removed in Gisborne, about ten days ago.
While there was no evidence at this stage that his death was suspicious, police keen to hear from anyone who saw him during that period.
They were especially interested to hear from any motorists who may have picked him up hitch-hiking - between Gisborne and Taupo and possibly Wellington.
Mr Olsen was 45, and he was described as part-Maori, of medium build, about 178 centimetres tall, with receding dark hair, sometimes tied back.
