Around 30 flights were delayed and three were cancelled as fog caused disruption at Auckland Airport this morning.
Fog restrictions were put in place at 6.29am, the airport said, but were lifted after around an hour.
However, the restrictions caused a back-log at the departure lounge with around 30 domestic flights delayed.
Flights to Queenstown, Taupo, Kaitaia, Gisborne, Whakatane, Bay of Islands, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Rotorua, Whangarei, Christchurch, Napier and Nelson were all delayed.
While flights arriving into Auckland from Christchurch, Wanganui, Tauranga, Rotorua, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Kaitaia, Napier, Taupo, Nelson, Whangarei, Gisborne, Blenheim and Bay of Islands were also delayed.
Three morning flights were cancelled, including flights to and from Tauranga, and one arriving from New Plymouth.
International flights and domestic main trunk flights were not affected by the fog, the airport said.
But earlier its website showed one flight from Shanghai and another from Tokyo as delayed.
Passengers were advised to check the Auckland Airport website for the latest flight information: www.aucklandairport.co.nz.
