From a superb own goal to a the broken World Cup, Daily Shorts takes a look at the lighter side of sport.
First day of the Swiss Super League season and we already have the best goal of the season - it just happened to go in the wrong net.
Milan Gajic, of Young Boys, put St Gallen 2-1 ahead with this incredible half-volley from outside his own area.
His side scored a late equaliser to claim a point.
Broken World Cup
World Cup winners Germany reportedly damaged the famous trophy in the aftermath of their 1-0 win over Argentina last week.
According to DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach a piece was "chipped off" during celebrations in Berlin.
"At one point, a small piece of our World Cup trophy was chipped off," Niersbach told Die Welt. "But do not worry! We have specialists on the case who can fix it. We have investigated persistently who it was that damaged the trophy, but the investigation was concluded without a result."
The original trophy is estimated to be worth over 10 million euros, but the Germans were only given a replica version to celebrate with.
Tasty name
Our favourite player on the LPGA Tour right now, after Lydia Ko of course.
Nice touch
A touching moment in the pre-season game between Seattle and Tottenham in the weekend with Make-A-Wish recipient Xander Bailey starting the game.
The 18-year-old took a pass from Clint Dempsey, dribbled down the field and took a shot on former U.S. national team goalkeeper Brad Friedel. He was then subbed off in front of 55,349 to a massive ovation.
On the run
Move over Tongan Thor, Hawaiian running back David Fangupo is on a rampage.
Ultimate catch
We're not big followers of ultimate frisbee and who knew it was televised on the States? But this is a fantastic diving catch in a game between classic frisbee rivals Philadelphia and Connecticut. Touchdown? Catchdown? Either way a nice play.
