New Zealand defeated Scotland in a Twenty20 World Cup match shortened by rain late last night.
The match was cut down to seven overs a side, with Scotland batting their way to a respectable 89 for 4.
New Zealand, led by Brendon McCullum in place of the absent Daniel Vettori, struck hard with a barrage of sixes near the conclusion of their innings.
The Kiwis seized victory with an over to spare.
